The World Cup race at Darnaway forest was a great success, lovely trails and nice crispy cold weather.
Danny Fitzgerald entered the 6 dog open class with his 5 dogs on the first day and managed to lead by 2 minutes. On the Sunday, he dropped one more dog and hopped onto the three wheeler and had an even better run!
This means he has now qualified to run at the French European Championships next year and is the UK 6 dog open National champion.
It’s amazing how good conditions can bring out a different gear in the dogs. So hopefully it’ll continue to be cold for next months race at Kerahope.
