The CSJ Charity Retriever Test was held on 3rd May at Finderlie Farm, Fife – kindly hosted by Mr Gerard Eadie CBE and we’re delighted to say everyone there raised an amazing £1075 for the CSJ chosen charity – Pet Blood Bank.
It was the 2nd year at this venue for this annual event – the first one was held over 10 years ago originally organised by the late Peter Smith, St Andrews who was a very key CSJ stockist in Scotland.
Alison Sorley (Secretary for the CLA Scotland Gundog Team) kindly offered to continue running this fundraising test and has worked hard over the last 4 years to make it so successful. Last year, over £900 was raised for the Pet Blood Bank.
The funds were raised in a number of ways: Entry fees, ‘Guess the whisky’ competition (not a tasting competition!) You wrap up a bottle of whisky and then for a £1, you can guess which brand it is 🙂 as well as a raffle and an auction of various gifts donated to the event. We were delighted that Jody Wyse from Pet Blood Bank was on hand to receive the cheque.
