The Arfon Working Gundog Club held a 16 dog Novice AV Spaniel Stake on the 17th November 2015 at the Glasfryn Shoot, Pwllheli, Gwynedd by kind permission of Mr Gwilym Jones.
The judges were Mr Barry A Jones & Mr Jason Toon. The weather forecast for once was correct, the day started with a steady drizzle developing to a downpour which cleared in the afternoon when the gales arrived.
It was a very difficult day for all and I would like to thank our host, Gwilym Jones for his efforts to find game for the trial to proceed, what self respecting pheasant would sit in a wet marsh when they had nice warm woods to stay in. The trial progressed steadily with the rain testing everyone’s waterproofs and the guns shooting well in the difficult conditions.
