The Moray Firth Spaniel & Retriever Club was asked to organise gundog working tests at the Highland Field Sports Fair again this year, the dates were the 5th & 6th of August. It had been a pretty wet week where we were parading about in puddles whilst trying to escape from the particularly fierce midges on the ground just 2 days prior to the event. However, someone must have thought to order sunshine for the event itself as the only wet weather gear we really needed was a pair of wellies.

Our judges for the two days were Spence Waddell and George Dobbie. We would like to thank them for giving up their time along with the ever willing dummy throwers and our generous sponsors CSJ Specialist Canine feeds, Tain Pottery and D & FM Sporting who have all been kind to us over the last several years.

We would like to extend our congratulations to all those in the awards.

The results were:

Novice

1st Eddie Scott & Broomfield Anna

2nd Nicola Hannan & Skronedale Hansel of Druimmuir

3rd Graham Clark & Broomfield Gnat

Open

1st William Drummond & Buccleuch Imrigh

2nd Eddie Scott & FTCh Chyknell Golden Eagle

3rd Gary Vennard & Kildabarra Phoenix

Best Hunting Spaniel was Graham Clarks Broomfield Gnat

Thank you again for your sponsorship.
