The Highland Field Sports Fair took place in August and both the Novice and the Open Spaniel tests managed to get the best of the sunshine over the 2 days. It was quite a muddy game fair after days on rain in the run up to it and we probably had the best of it up in our corner of the ground.
It was great to have some new faces competing this year and our thanks must go to all of our competitors, Judges Duncan Sutherland & Davy Wilson who gave up their time for us, all those who helped to throw dummies on the day and of course to everyone else who helped to prepare the ground.
The Spaniel tests this year were sponsored by CSJ Specialist canine feeds, Tain Pottery, D & FM Sporting and Heather Gibson Arts.
We are extremely grateful to them for their continued support this year, the prizes always go down well with our award winners. The Open test was a very close test with there only being 8 points between all of the competing dogs.
