Lucy won the ECF European Championships in 2015 with her German Shorthaired Pointer, Nika, who was only 14 months old at the time!
The dogs…
Lucy currently has Nika and Milo German Shorthaired Pointers and Ezra a European Sleddog.
“I have been very grateful to have CSJ’s backing throughout the last couple of seasons, providing us with the best top class food for my dogs, that keep them in the best condition through racing and training.”
How Lucy’s journey in canicross competitions began…
Lucy got involved in 2010 attending YKC camp where she tried out the sport of canicross for the first time with her working Cocker Spaniel Connie. She fell in love with the sport from the start and attended her first race in October of that year in the Grizedale forest in the Lake District … finishing second in her category over the weekend.
The standout memory…
“My most memorable success has to be winning the ECF European Championships in 2015 with Nika, it was a massive race for Nika’s first season but she took it all in her stride to take us to victory and it will be two races that I will never forget.”
