The inspiration behind this video is Rory – a Rottie who was honoured by being invited to perform ‘Heelwork To Music’ at Crufts, Discover Dogs and Channel 4 Big Breakfast demonstrating a waltz routine to the Blue Danube. Rory taught me that dogs can- and do – appreciate music and really enjoy this new sport of ‘Heelwork To Music’. Often Rory would offer and invent moves – and if he didn’t like a particular piece of music he would walk off the floor. This video is intended to help people to teach their dogs from the start and gives plenty of ideas for moves, movement and rhythm for both dog and handler.
